His car is Laris Manis, Xiaomi Guyur Bonus Rp238 Billion for All Dealers
JAKARTA - Xiaomi is reported to have channeled financial subsidies worth more than 100 million yuan, or the equivalent of Rp. 238 billion to its dealer network throughout China. Interestingly, the incentive was given unconditionally.
In a report by Carnewschina, Tuesday, December 23, one of Xiaomi's sources said that the money was packaged in the form of a red envelope or cash bonus as a form of appreciation ahead of the New Year's Eve on December 31.
A source who knows this policy said that the value of the bonus received by dealers varies. In fact, a number of dealers are rumored to have received red envelopes with a value of more than 4 million yuan.
This step is considered as an effort by Xiaomi to maintain the loyalty and solidity of its automotive sales network. Industry observers assess that the distribution of subsidies is in line with the aggressive expansion of Xiaomi's electric car distribution channel which continues to show positive growth.
As of the end of November, Xiaomi Auto has recorded 441 stores in 131 cities in China, as well as 249 service centers reaching 144 cities. In the last three months, Xiaomi Auto's retail network has grown significantly.
The company added 32 new stores in September, followed by 22 stores in October, and 17 stores in November, bringing the total to 71 new stores in the period. Xiaomi also expects to open 36 additional stores in December in seven new cities.
Xiaomi first announced its entry into the automotive industry in March 2021. More than four years later, the Chinese technology company has launched two electric vehicle models, the SU7 sedan and the YU7 SUV, which are now the backbone of its automotive business.
On November 20, Xiaomi announced that the 500,000th vehicle had come off the production line. This achievement was achieved in about one year and seven months since mass production began.
In terms of financial performance, Xiaomi's electric vehicle business revenue in the third quarter of this year was recorded at US$4.10 billion. Throughout the first 11 months of this year, Xiaomi Auto's cumulative sales reached 361,600 vehicles.
The SU7 model contributed 247,000 units, while the YU7 recorded sales of 114,600 units. Monthly sales trends also continue to increase, from a range of 20,000 units, up to 25,000 units, to break through 45,000 units by the end of the year and early 2025.
