As a result, the South Korean manufacturer will present two new cars at the beginning of the year and it is likely that one of them will be launched at the IIMS 2026 event in February. Interestingly, one of the cars uses a hybrid engine.
"In the near future, we promise to introduce a new model. But after we analyze the situation, we will postpone it to the first quarter of 2026 again," Frans told reporters in Jakarta, Tuesday, December 23.
"But with the postponement, we will display or introduce two new models. One model uses a combustion powertrain. The same one is hybrid," he continued.
On the other hand, the man who is familiarly called Frans also mentioned that Hyundai still has an electric car that will be launched. However, his party is still waiting for certainty regarding incentives from the government so that sales are good enough.
"As for the EV, of course we are still waiting for the government's decision. Regarding the regulation of incentives for EV cars, whether it will continue the incentives or be delayed as before. Well, the new product is expected to increase our market share," he said.
"That if we want to be in a good condition or position in selling in Indonesia. There are two things we must pay attention to, first is customer preference. Then the second is government regulation or government rules," said Frans.
