Hyundai Staria EV Launches Next Year, Expected to Come with Large Battery Capacity

JAKARTA - Hyundai continues to expand its range of electrified vehicles and has confirmed that it will launch the Staria EV MPV in early 2026.

Citing from the website, The Korea Car Blog, Tuesday, December 23, according to some sources, the Hyundai Staria Electric marks the full electric evolution of the brand's futuristic MPV.

The upcoming EV is rumored to be equipped with a large 99 kWh battery, positioning it as a high-capacity long-distance electric vehicle aimed at family and commercial users.

Its world premiere will take place at the Brussels Motor Show, which is scheduled from January 9 to 18, where Hyundai will showcase what they call their largest electric vehicle to date.

Hyundai has confirmed that its upcoming electric model will complement its existing EV lineup, which currently includes the compact Hyundai INSTER to the flagship Ioniq 9. With the Staria Electric, Hyundai is expected to fill an important gap in the MPV and electric passenger vehicle segments.

Hyundai officially stated that this new EV will debut with cutting-edge electric technology, including an 800-volt charging system. This architecture, which is already visible in models such as the Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 6, allows for ultra-fast DC charging.

For large vehicles such as the Staria Electric, this technology will be very important in maintaining practicality regardless of the size of the vehicle and its battery capacity.
