Without Agnez Mo's Presence, Ari Bias Copyright Trial Again Postponed

JAKARTA - The Niaga Court at the Central Jakarta District Court (PN Jakpus) held an Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) trial filed by Ari Bias on Monday, December 22.

As is known, Ari Bias filed a civil lawsuit against PT Aneka Bintang Gading alias Holywings for alleged copyright infringement.

Ari questioned three performances held by Holywings in 2023 - featuring Agnez Mo performing the song "Bilang Saja" - for not paying royalties.

It is known that Ari Bias as the plaintiff and PT Aneka Bintang Gading as the defendant, were present in the trial.

"In the trial, the party of Arie Sapta Hernawan was present and PT Aneka Bintang Gading was present," said PN Jakpus spokesman Sunoto in an official statement.

Although both parties to the lawsuit were present, the trial had to be postponed because three parties, including Agnez Mo, did not attend the trial.

"The co-defendants did not attend, namely the co-defendant I Agnes Monica, the co-defendant II National Collective Management Agency (LMKN), and the co-defendant III Indonesian Creative Works Collective Management Agency (LMK KCI)," said Sunoto.

The Jakpus PN also postponed the trial for one week, by calling Agnez Mo, LMKN, and KCI back to the trial for the last time.

"Due to the absence, the panel of judges consisting of Achmad Rasyid Purba (Chairman of the Panel), M Firman Akbar and Anton Rizal Setiawan, decided to postpone the trial on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 to summon the co-defendants (third/last call)," concluded Sunoto.
