JAKARTA - PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BSI) has disbursed investment financing for the kitchen of the Free Nutritious Meal Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG MBG) to 127 recipients of Rp. 181 billion until December 2025.

Director of Retail Banking BSI Kemas Erwan Husainy said that this commitment is to support the government's national strategic projects in an effort to encourage the improvement of Indonesian human resources that grow healthy, smart, and ready to face the future.

"BSI channels investment financing to qualified and bankable and sustainable SPPG MBG units," said Erwan in his statement in Jakarta, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, December 23.

Investment financing for the construction of SPPG is targeted at prospective customers who have obtained the BGN Partner ID, MBG payment virtual account through BSI and submitted the calculation of the cost budget plan.

The Company said that the distribution of financing to SPPG is BSI's commitment to developing the small medium enterprise (SME) sector as well as supporting and strengthening the MBG program.

The commitment in the form of financing support for the construction of the SPPG kitchen is carried out continuously and comprehensively from upstream to downstream.

Since the program was inaugurated, BSI has stated that it is actively accelerating the process of distributing SPPG financing based on technical instructions issued by the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), including regarding aspects of legality, as well as marketing and operations of SPPG. In this way, the funding that is distributed remains prudent.

The company is trying to provide space for entrepreneurs with easy and fast requirements. In the future, according to the company, the financing of the SPPG MBG kitchen investment will continue to grow in line with the government's target for the presence of SPPG MBG.

Erwan also conveyed that with the increase in investment financing for the SPPG MBG kitchen, BSI hopes that more Indonesian children will be able to enjoy MBG services.

"We hope that Indonesia's future will be brighter through Indonesian children who have good nutrition. BSI is currently also serving more than 1,000 SPPG operational financial transactions," said Erwan.
