Safe and Comfortable Tourism, Dokkes Purbalingga Police Buka Free Health Service
Purbalingga - A number of tourist attractions in Purbalingga Regency, Central Java, have become the favorite destinations for the public during the Christmas 2025 and New Year 2026 holidays.
The surge in tourist visits requires the support of various parties to ensure the comfort and safety of tourist activities, including from the visitor's health and field officers.
The Medical and Health Section (Dokkes) of the Purbalingga Regional Police (Polres) also attended to provide free health services at several tourist destinations in the area as part of efforts to support the smooth running of Christmas and New Year holidays (Nataru).
"We provide this health service to security personnel for tourist attractions and the community, ranging from visitors, traders, parking attendants, to tourist bus drivers," said Acting Head of Public Relations Section of Purbalingga Police Inspector Two Dwi Arto in Purbalingga, Tuesday.
He explained that the health service activities were a form of support from the National Police in successfully carrying out the 2025 Candle Temple Operation. The main focus of this service is to maintain the health condition of security personnel who are on duty and at the same time provide direct benefits to the public who are active in tourist areas.
The services provided include blood pressure checks, health consultations, and free medication and vitamins to help maintain fitness during travel.
"This health service aims to ensure that the condition of the personnel remains in good condition during the execution of security duties. In addition, we also want to provide easy access to health services for the public at tourist attractions," he said.
Dwi added that this activity is also part of the humanist approach of the National Police in serving the community, especially in the midst of increasing mobility and tourist visits during the Christmas 2025 and New Year 2026 holidays.
The presence of health services from the Purbalingga Police Health Section was welcomed positively by tourists. Some visitors admitted that they felt safer and were helped by the availability of light health examination facilities at tourist sites.
One of the visitors to the Air Bojongsari Tourism Object (Owabong), Eko, assessed that the medical service was very useful, especially for tourists who experience health complaints while on vacation.
"I felt dizzy when I got off the bus, thank God, now it's getting better after undergoing a health check," he said.
