PN Mataram Refuses Preliminary Trial for NTB DPRD Gratification Case, Determination of 2 Suspects is Valid

Mataram - The Mataram District Court (PN) single judge decided to reject the pretrial application of two suspects in the alleged gratification case of the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Provincial DPRD.

The two suspects are Indra Jaya Usman alias IJU and Hamdan Kasim alias HK. Both of them as money givers to dozens of legislators are members of the NTB DPRD.

"To judge, reject the pretrial application from the applicants," said Judge Lalu Moh. Sandi Iramaya read the verdict at the Mataram District Court, Tuesday, quoted by Antara.

The judge in his ruling stated that the pretrial application material related to the determination of suspects by the West Nusa Tenggara High Prosecutor's Office was valid.

In the description of the verdict, the judge also conveyed that the investigation that established the two applicants as suspects had been carried out in accordance with the formal rules strengthened by three pieces of evidence.

The judge also stated that he did not question the change of position of the Head of the NTB Prosecutor's Office from Enen Saribanon to Wahyudi, so that there was a difference in officials who put their signatures on the investigation order and the letter of determination of the suspect.

At the end of the ruling, the single judge ordered the two pretrial applicants to pay the case costs.

In the development of the investigation which is running in the Special Criminal Investigation Unit of the NTB Prosecutor's Office, investigators are now completing the case file for the needs of handing it over to the investigating prosecutor.

In addition, investigators also traced the criminal acts of dozens of members of the legislature who were status as bribe recipients.

Regarding the purpose of bribes and gratuities in the NTB DPRD in 2025, the prosecutor chose to reveal this in the trial.
