Mazda 6e Starts Road Testing in Indonesia, Signal for Launch Next Year?

JAKARTA - Mazda Indonesia seems to be preparing many surprises in 2026, one of which is predicted to present the Mazda 6e sedan.

Proof of this, the Japanese brand is testing the Mazda 6e road in Indonesia. A photo was shared on the automotive influencer's Instagram @indra_fathan social media page.

From VOI's observation, Tuesday, December 23, the sedan appeared to be parked in the Sam Poo Kong area, Semarang, which may be undergoing a long-distance road test.

Previously, the successor car to the Mazda 6 was present at the 2025 Bangkok International Motor Show (BIMS). So what are the specifications?

In terms of design, this model comes with a modern look, the front shows a futuristic impression, especially the very sharp light area, while the back looks elegant. The Mazda 6e also uses a beautiful two-tone rim that matches the black coating and silver trim on the side.

Referring to the global market, this car comes with two available battery configurations. The larger 80 kWh battery comes with a maximum range of 552 km, while the smaller 68.8 kWh allows for a range of 479 km.

Meanwhile, this electric car is also equipped with various intelligent functions including the Intelligent Drive System which supports the driver's driving needs. Then, the manufacturer also provides technologies such as Accident Mitigation Technology and Smart Cabin with Voice, Touch, and gesture control, all of which aim to improve safety and comfort standards.

The car itself is also marketed in Europe with an estimated price of around 45,000 euros (Rp751.1 million).
