Bring Ecstasy on a Motorcycle, Courier Arrested in Dumai
PEKANBARU - The Directorate of Narcotics and Illegal Drugs Investigation of the Riau Regional Police seized nine packages containing 47 thousand ecstasy-type narcotics carried by motorcycle in Medang Kampai District, Dumai City.
Director of Narcotics Investigation of the Riau Police, Kombes Pol Putu Yudha Prawira, said the disclosure was carried out by the Opsnal Team of Sub-Directorate III led by Kompol Ade Zaldi. This was after receiving information about the pickup of large amounts of ecstasy in Dumai City, Friday, December 12.
"Officers secured two suspects with initials R (47) and his colleague W along with nine packages of suspected ecstasy carried by motorcycle," said Kombes Putu Yudha in Pekanbaru, Monday, December 22.
From the results of the search, the police confiscated two black backpacks containing nine packages suspected of being ecstasy. In addition, there were also two mobile phones, as well as one Yamaha Vixion motorcycle unit.
Based on the results of the initial interrogation, suspect R admitted that the illegal goods would be handed over to another suspect with the initials F (34) in Pekanbaru City.
The team then developed and secured the suspect F at a motorcycle workshop on Jalan Durian, Labuh Baru Timur Village, Payung Sekaki District, Pekanbaru City, on Saturday (13/12) early morning.
"The evidence will be sent and distributed to Jambi Province which is controlled via mobile phone by the bandar who is in Jambi," said Kombes Putu.
From the results of the development in Jambi, 2 suspects with initials FA (39) and AF (37) have been secured. All suspects and evidence are currently secured at the Riau Police Narcotics Division for further network development, as well as investigations into money laundering crimes.
