Proliga 2026 Schedule, More Matches than Previous Season
JAKARTA - The 2026 Proliga competition is ready to roll again at the beginning of next year. The highest level league of the national volleyball will last for about four months.
The Central Management of the Indonesian Volleyball Association (PP PBVSI) has officially released the competition schedule in a press conference held in Jakarta on Monday, December 22, 2025.
Proliga director, Hanny S. Surkatty, said that more matches for next year's competition are still taking place outside Jakarta due to the high enthusiasm.
"The enthusiasm outside Jakarta is very big. The Final Four was going to be held in Jakarta, but the places suitable for Proliga are full, especially at Istora and Tennis Indoor," he said.
A total of 12 teams will compete next year. From the men's category, the teams that will compete are Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi, Jakarta Garuda Jaya, Jakarta LavAni, Medan Falcons Tirta Bhagasasi, and Surabaya Samator.
As for the women's sector, the participating teams consist of the defending champion Jakarta Pertamina Enduro, Bandung BJB Tandamata, Gresik Phonska Plus Pupuk Indonesia, Jakarta Electric PLN Mobile, Jakarta Livin Mandiri, Jakarta Popsivo Polwan, and Medan Falcons.
The series of matches will start from January 8, 2026 to April 26, 2026. There are a total of 98 matches to be held, including a best-of-three format for the third place and the champion.
"If the two final matches and the third place battle are one team already 2-0 ahead, then the match is over. On the other hand, if 1-1, it will continue to the third match," said Hanny.
The 2026 Proliga competition opens through a series of regular matches taking place in six major cities, namely Pontianak (8-11 January 2026), Medan (15-18 January 2026), Bandung (22-25 January 2026), Gresik (29 January 2026-1 February 2026), Malang (5-8 February 2026), and Bojonegoro (12-15 February 2026).
After that, two weeks of matches in Sentul, Bogor, will be the phase of the Ramadan agenda on February 19-22, 2026 and February 26, 2026-March 1, 2026 as the closing of the second regular round.
The competition then moved to the Final Four stage which took place in three separate weeks, namely in Surabaya (3-5 April 2026), Solo (10-12 April 2026), and Semarang (16-19 April 2026). The determination of the champion title was held in Yogyakarta on April 21-26, 2026.
