Central Aceh Regency Relocates Kutereje Village Lost in Flood

BANDA ACEH - The Central Aceh Regency Government (Pemkab) will relocate the people of the village (village) Kutereje in Lingeyang District, which is now gone after being hit by flash floods in late November 2025.

"The regional government ensures that the community will be moved to a safer and more suitable location to rebuild their lives," said the Regent of Central Aceh, Haili Yogadilansir ANTARA, Monday, December 22.

Haili Yoga said that the condition of Kampung Kutereje was very bad, the flood only left the foundation and debris of the local residents' houses.

Meanwhile, the residents' agricultural land, he said, such as rice fields are also in disarray, so that the people there lose their economic resources.

"This is worse than what was told. The entire community of Kampung Kutereje was forced to evacuate to Kampung Delung. Even though they live in a very limited condition, the evacuation location is safer," he said.

The regional government, continued Haili Yoga, is currently preparing a land area of 35,500 square meters for relocation.

He said Kampung Kutereje was just one of several other villages in Central Aceh that were destroyed after the flood and landslide disasters.

"The relocation of Kampung Kutereje is the top priority, after which the government will continue to search for relocation locations for Kampung Delung and Kampung Reje Payung which are also affected," said Haili Yoga.
