3 Teenagers Drowned in Lambang Sari Lake, 2 Found Dead, 1 Still Missing
JAKARTA - Three children are reported to have drowned in Lambang Sari Lake, Buaran Village, South Tambun, Bekasi Regency, West Java, Monday, December 22.
From the search results conducted by the joint SAR Team, two victims were found dead. One person is still being searched.
"The victims who died were named Gio (16) and Rasya (14). One person in search was named Dilla (17)," said Bekasi SAR Emergency Unit Coordinator, Erdi Jatmiko when confirmed.
The search was carried out by a joint SAR team with diving efforts in the last area where the victim drowned.
"The tools used are water and underwater fishing," he said.
The incident began when the three victims along with two friends were fishing at the Lambang Sari Lake.
"After that they took a bath together," he said.
A teenager with the initials G first got off and then got dizzy and drowned. Then another teenager with the initials R tried to help but actually drowned.
When he saw the two victims drowning, a teenager with the initials D also helped but actually drowned.
After that, the other two children who did not dare to go down to the Lambang Sari lake, chose to go home and report it to the families of the three victims.
"Until now, a child with the initials D is still being searched by the joint SAR team," he said.
