BNPT Complains That It Does Not Have An Independent Office To The DPR
JAKARTA - The head of the National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT) Boy Rafli Amar complained that his agency does not yet have an independent office in the capital city of DKI Jakarta to Commission III of the DPR.
"Currently, the BNPT does not yet have an independent office in the capital as mandated by Law Number 5 of 2018 (regarding terrorism, ed," said Boy in a meeting in the DPR Commission III room, Thursday, May 27.
Boy explained that BNPT had just been given land by the Directorate General of State Wealth of the Ministry of Finance (DJKN Kemenkeu) for office land with an area of 1.7 hectares on Jalan S Parman, West Jakarta. The land is planned to be built as the technical needs office for BNPT.
"Meanwhile, the BNPT facility which is currently being built in the Indonesia Peace and Security Center or IPSC Sentul area in an area of 61,157 with the use rights mechanism from the Ministry of Defense, where the ownership of the BNPT itself is 5 hectares," he explained.
Responding to this, member of Commission III of the DPR Arteria Dahlan regretted that the BNPT as an institution that fights terrorism does not have adequate facilities and infrastructure.
The PDIP faction member stated that his party would fully support the efforts to improve infrastructure, resources and other improvements proposed by the Head of BNPT Boy Rafli Amar.
"If possible, Sir, we will make a visit to the BNPT's office, which he said does not yet have his own office. Then there is a land loan from the Ministry of Defense, that's 20 years too, Sir," said Arteria.
