Arrested After Escaping, Kasi Datun HSU is Now Undergoing KPK Inspection

JAKARTA - The Head of the Civil and State Administration Section (Kasidatun) of the North Hulu Sungai (HSU) District Attorney's Office (Kejari), South Kalimantan, Tri Taruna Fariadi is currently undergoing an examination at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta. This process was carried out after he was handed over by the Attorney General's Office.

"Yes, it has been handed over from the Attorney General's Office, and then immediately a check was carried out," said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to reporters through his written statement, Monday, December 22.

"This is also a form of mutual support between the KPK and the Attorney General's Office in handling cases of alleged corruption," he continued.

From monitoring at the location, the cadet arrived at the anti-corruption commission's office at around 12.50 WIB. He was escorted by a number of officers and members of the TNI who carried weapons and a number of parties from the Attorney General's Office.

On that occasion, Tri did not answer about where he had fled. He only denied information that he had hit the anti-corruption commission investigators.

"I never hit it," he said briefly before entering the building.

Tri Taruna is a suspect along with Albertinus P. Napitulu who is the Head of the North Hulu Sungai (Kajari) District Attorney's Office (Kajari) and Asis Budianto as the Kasintel of the North Hulu Sungai District Attorney's Office.

Albertinus is known to have allegedly extorted two of his subordinates. He received money through intermediaries, namely Tri Taruna and Asis Budianto while serving with a value of up to Rp804 million.

The extortion, continued Asep, was allegedly accompanied by threats. "With the modus operandi so that the Complaint Report or Lapdu from the community-based organization that entered the HSU District Attorney's Office related to the service, the legal process is not followed up," he said.

"Then there was a gift to Albertinus with two clusters," said Asep. Through Tri Taruna, he received money worth Rp. 235 million from the Head of the Education Office; and EVN as the Director of HSU Hospital for Rp. 235 million.

Then, through Asis, Albertinus received Rp149.3 million from YND as the Head of the HSU Health Service.

"ASB, which is the intermediary of the APN, in the period from February to December 2025 is suspected of also receiving money flows from a number of parties amounting to IDR 63.2 million," explained Asep, who also served as the Director of KPK Investigation.

Not stopping there, Albertinus was also suspected of cutting the HSU District Attorney's budget through the treasurer. This money was then used for personal operational funds.

The funds, said Asep, were the submission of the Additional Provision of Funds (TUP) of IDR 257 million which was issued without a Travel Order (SPPD) and deductions from the work units or sections.

Albertinus is also suspected of receiving money from other sources. The details are as follows:

1. Transfer to the wife's account APN worth Rp405 million;

2. From the Head of the PU and the DPRD Secretariat in the period August - November 2025 amounting to Rp. 45 million.

Tri Taruna also received money amounting to Rp. 1.07 billion in addition to being an intermediary for Albertinus. This income comes from the former Head of the HSU Education Service, worth Rp. 930 million in 2022 and Rp. 140 million from a partner in 2024.

As a result of their actions, the three were suspected of violating Article 12 letter e, Article 12 letter f of Law No. 31 of 1999 as amended by Law No. 20 of 2002 jo Article 55 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code jo Article 64 of the Criminal Code.
