Black Phone Actor James Ransone Dies
JAKARTA - Actor James Ransone is reported to have died. He chose to end his life on Friday, December 19 by hanging himself.
Launching Variety, this sad news was conveyed by the Los Angeles Medical Examiner. The medical team has not explained the chronology of James Ransone ending his life.
James Ransone is an actor born in June 1979. His career began in Ken Park's film before he was known through the series The Wire where he played Ziggy Sobotka.
Then, he was credited in several titles such as the film Inside Man, the series Generation Kill, the series How to Make It in the America.
In 2019, he played the adult character of Eddie Kaspbrak in the film IT: Chapter Two and shared the role with actor Jack Dylan Grazer. He last made a special appearance in the film Black Phone 2 which premiered this year.
In the series, Ransone also appeared in the series Poker Face and played the role of Juice which was released this year.
In 2021, James Ransone revealed that he had been harassed by his math teacher in 1992, but the Baltimore police refused to make an arrest after an investigation.
The Baltimore School System was also aware of this from the police but did not say what steps they were taking in relation to the case.
James Ransone had two children from his marriage. He died at the age of 46.
