There are Nmax, Aerox, and Xmax, Yamaha is considering Turbo Technology for Lexi
JAKARTA - Yamaha Indonesia has introduced 'Turbo' technology for the 155 cc scooter segment ranging from Nmax to Aerox. Even the latest is also embedded in the Xmax model.
So is Yamaha not interested in attaching this technology to the Lexi model? Answering the above, the PR, YRA & Community Manager of PT Yamaha Indonesia Motor Mfg, Rifki Maulana, spoke up.
"So maybe we can consider, we already have the technology. But, yes, we see the market's enthusiasm first because with the addition of this feature, it can be seen from the variants in Nmax are quite high (fans)," he told reporters, in the Senayan area, Saturday, December 20.
According to the man who is familiarly called Rifki, the enthusiasm for the feature is quite high, especially from the latest Xmax model that was launched some time ago.
"Yes, it's quite good (Xmax Turbo reception). So we can give a new fresh wind to the product itself, not only changing clothes but but according to customer wishes," he added.
Although it cannot be confirmed, it is likely that the above products will be launched next year. Take a closer look at how 'Turbo' works on some models from Yamaha that already exist.
The feature refers to Yamaha Electric Continuously Variable Transmission (YECVT) technology and the Y-Shift feature. There is a Y-Shift feature and T mode and S mode driving modes.
The Y-Shift feature provides an instant acceleration boost or engine brake effect with three levels. For acceleration, it can be very useful because it provides extra power.
Meanwhile, it can be for deceleration, and this feature will activate the engine braking, helping to reduce speed instantly and increase control.
