KAI Records 2.27 Million Ticket Sales During Christmas 2025 and New Year 2026 Transportation
JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) recorded a total ticket sales during the 2025 Christmas and 2026 New Year Transportation period, namely December 18, 2025 to January 4, 2026, has reached 2,279,308 tickets. The data was collected until Sunday, December 21, 2025 at 08.00 WIB.
Of the total, the sale of long-distance train tickets was recorded at 2,034,917 tickets or equivalent to 73.7 percent of the capacity provided of 2,761,048 seats.
Meanwhile, local train tickets were sold for 244,391 tickets, or 32.8 percent of the total capacity of 745,056 seats.
During the Christmas and New Year 2025/2026 Transportation period, KAI has prepared a total of 3,506,104 seats consisting of long-distance and local train services, the provision of this capacity aims to support the smooth mobility of the community, both for tourism, family visits, and economic activities in various regions.

"In addition, during the Nataru period, KAI also presents a 30 percent discount rate program which is valid from December 22, 2025 to January 10, 2026, with a total of 1,509,080 seats allocated," he said.
Until December 21, 2025 at 08.00 WIB, commercial economy train tickets with discounted fares have been sold 808,543 tickets or about 54 percent of the total available quota.
