Samsung Galaxy S26 Launch Schedule Predicted to Be Back in February 2026

JAKARTA - Samsung is rumored to be shifting the launch schedule of its latest flagship line, the Galaxy S26 Series, from the usual January to late February 2026.

The latest report from South Korea says that the Galaxy Unpacked event will most likely be held on February 25, 2026 in San Jose, California. The decision to delay this schedule is considered a strategic move for the company to give more time to perfect the hardware specifications and optimize the performance of their latest chipset.

One of the main focuses of this delay is optimization on the Exynos 2600, the world's first processor with 2nm fabrication which is planned to power the Galaxy S26 and S26+ base models in some regions.

This chipset promises a boost in artificial intelligence (generative AI) performance of up to 113 percent compared to the previous generation. Although the highest variant, the Galaxy S26 Ultra, is reportedly ready for mass production with support for the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, Samsung chose to still release the entire series simultaneously to maintain the impact of the launch in the global market.

This schedule adjustment marks the first time Samsung has passed the January launch window since the release of the Galaxy S23 series. Industry observers believe that the additional few weeks are crucial for Samsung to ensure that the power efficiency and temperature management issues in their 2nm technology are truly mature before they reach consumers.

With an estimated launch in late February, fans in Indonesia and other countries will most likely only be able to get the unit officially at retail stores starting the second week of March 2026 after going through the pre-order period.
