Bahlil: I will never make Golkar for business interests

JAKARTA - Golkar Party Chairman, Bahlil Lahadalia, has ensured that he will never make Golkar a business vehicle that seeks personal profit. This was conveyed by Bahlil in the Golkar Rapimnas at the Golkar DPP Office, Slipi, West Jakarta, Saturday, December 20.

He also reminded Golkar not to be used by certain groups for the benefit of certain groups.

"So, all of you, I want to reiterate that the Golkar party must not be used as a party to fight for the interests of certain groups. Business groups must not," said Bahlil.

Bahlil emphasized that the Golkar Party must return to the struggle to fight for the welfare of the people and do the best political work for the people.

"I convey to all of you, God willing, please remind me. I want to be the General Chairman of the Golkar Party, I will never make the Golkar Party to take care of my personal interests. Moreover, my business, don't ever think, never," said the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources.

Bahlil also stated that he would not order factions in the DPR RI to take care of personal interests. Because according to him, he is used to taking care of his own life.

"For all members of the faction, God willing, please remind me. I will never rule or ask you to take care of my personal affairs. Because I already know how to take care of my personal affairs since childhood," he said.

"I was born not to be taken care of, but to take care of. That is my substantive difference. That is my difference," continued the Papuan politician.

Bahlil also reminded that the Golkar Party is a national asset owned by all Indonesian people, not belonging to certain groups or families.

"And there should be no way that we have to take care of people one by one. No! (not). This party is ours together. This party is a state asset. We must maintain the dignity of this party for the good of the nation and the state," concluded Bahlil.
