Golkar Emphasizes Support for Prabowo Government, Bahlil: Not Allowed to Enter Census Coalition
JAKARTA - Golkar Chairman Bahlil Lahadalia stated that Golkar would loyally support the government of President Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka. He reminded, Golkar should not move backwards in the ranks of this government coalition.
This was conveyed by Bahlil at the National Leadership Meeting (Rapimnas) at the Golkar Party DPP office, Jakarta, Saturday, December 20.
"As part of the consequences of the party that carries (Prabowo-Gibran), fighting for those who are in the coalition, we must not enter into populist coalitions, we must not," said Bahlil.
In his speech, Bahlil also briefly mentioned the former chairman of Golkar who, according to him, was hesitant in determining his stance. He said, the former chairman likes to go back and forth, unlike him.
"I don't know if the general chairman was, who can go forward and backward, go forward and backward. I can't because the angkot driver just goes forward, he can't go backwards, that's it," he said.
Bahlil also emphasized that supporting the Prabowo-Gibran government until the end of their term of office was the mandate of the Golkar National Congress. Therefore, Golkar needs to formulate steps so that this government runs continuously.
"I want to say that we must be committed and we must monitor the decisions of the National Congress and the decisions of the National Congress are to monitor the Prabowo-Gibran government until it is completed. When is it completed? Ask President Prabowo," said Bahlil.
