Increase Security, Bogor Regency Government Sets Up 316 PJU Points on Bomang Route
CIBINONG - The Bogor Regency Government (Pemkab) through the Transportation Service continues to increase the installation of Public Road Lighting (PJU) along the Bomang Highway (Bojonggede-Kemang). A total of 316 light points are targeted to be installed to cross the Kemang, Tajurhalang, to Bojonggede districts.
Bogor Regent, Rudy Susmanto, emphasized that the addition of this lighting facility is a crucial step. In addition to minimizing the risk of accidents and criminal acts, the installation of this PJU is an integral part of the continuation of the development of the Bomang Road infrastructure which is currently underway.
"We want to ensure that this road is not only physically functional, but also safe and comfortable for drivers and pedestrians with adequate lighting," Rudy said in a written statement, Friday, December 19.
At a different location, the Head of the Bogor Regency Transportation Office, Bayu Ramawanto, explained the progress of the work in the field. Of the total 316 planned points, 63 points have been completed and installed, covering the area from the Bojonggede train crossing to the Parung Highway.
"The team continues to work in the field. Our goal is to complete all 316 points so that lighting along this main route is optimal," said Bayu.
The Bogor Regency Government's move was welcomed positively by the community. Rahmat, a resident who often crosses the path to go to Bojonggede Market, admitted that he felt more calm when driving at night.
"In the past, if you passed by here it was very dark and prone. Now with these new lights, the journey is much more helpful. We hope that this kind of attention will also touch other routes that are still poorly lit," he said.
The installation of this PJU emphasizes the commitment of the Bogor Regency Government in accelerating the development of infrastructure that is oriented towards the safety of residents, as well as supporting economic mobility in the Bogor Regency area.
