The National Police has deployed 146,701 personnel for the 2025 Lilin Operation.
JAKARTA - The National Police has deployed 146,701 personnel for the 2025 Lilin Operation to secure Christmas 2025 and New Year 2025 in all regions of Indonesia.
Astama Ops National Police Chief Inspector General Fadil Imran said the joint personnel consisted of 77,637 National Police personnel, 13,775 TNI personnel, and 55,289 personnel from other related agencies.
"I want to emphasize again that the success of the Nataru service is our shared responsibility," said Fadil during the 2025 Lilin Operation Apel at the National Monument, Jakarta, Friday, December 19, reported by ANTARA.
According to him, the police and other officials have also established 2,903 posts consisting of 1,807 Pam Posts (Security Posts), 763 Service Posts, and 333 Integrated Posts spread throughout the region.
The post-post, he said, will provide services to 44,436 objects, including churches, shopping centers, terminals, stations, ports, airports, tourist attractions, and new year's celebration locations.
"These posts are expected to be able to provide optimal services to the community," he said.
On the other hand, he also reminded that based on BMKG information, there was the potential for weather that could trigger heavy rain, strong winds, and high waves.
This condition is in line with the prediction of the peak of the rainy season which is estimated to take place in the period from November 2025 to February 2026, thus increasing the potential for natural disaster events.
The situation, he said, certainly requires higher readiness, so that the Christmas and New Year services must be carried out extra compared to previous years.
"Starting from the aspect of security, service, to a quick response to various problems in the field in order to provide a sense of security and comfort for the community," he continued.
He also asked all personnel on duty to continue to increase their solidarity and synergy in carrying out their duties, because this is the key to the success of an operation.
"To all personnel, I advise that you always maintain your health. Make Nataru's service a source of pride and intend every task as a field of worship," he said.
