Revalina S. Temat Says the Film Tuhan, Benarkah Kau Mendengarku? Highlights the Impact of Divorce on Children
JAKARTA - The film God, Do You Really Hear Me? not only focuses on the conflict between husband, wife, and third parties, but also explores the psychological impact experienced by children.
Actress Revalina S. Temat, who plays the wife, revealed that this is one of the main strengths of the film.
"We sometimes forget to discuss from the child's point of view," he said in South Jakarta, Thursday, December 18.
In many stories of infidelity, children are often only a secondary character. However, in this film, the child's feelings and point of view will be explored in depth.
The character of the child named Laila, played by Annisa Kaila, will be a reflection of many children who are victims of divorce. He must fight in the midst of his parents' complicated conflict.
"In this film, the side of his son we also tell you that. We show, this is a child whose parents are separated, the effect is like this," explained Revalina.
Annisa Kaila added that her character, Laila, feels closer to her father. This is because her perfectionist mother makes her feel restrained. However, everything changes when Laila learns the big secret that her mother has been hiding all along.
"Laila just realized that all this time, Mom was alone. And that's where the turning point was, Laila really loved Mom," said Annisa.
Laila's story is a reminder for parents. Sometimes, in the midst of being busy solving personal problems, they forget to ask about their children's feelings.
Revalina hopes that this lesson can reach the audience. That no matter how small the changes in the family, the impact will be very extraordinary for a child.
