Dispensing 20,000 Elpiji Cylinders, Pertamina Holds Market Operation to Stabilize Prices in Aceh
JAKARTA - PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumbagut held an operation to sell 3 kilogram (kg) LPG to several points in Aceh Province, ranging from Banda Aceh, Aceh Besar, even to Aceh Tamiang and other areas.
Area Manager Communication, Relations & CSR Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumbagut, Fahrougi Andriani Sumampouw explained, the Pasar operation has been carried out from December 6 to 18, 2025, and cumulatively the distribution has reached more than 20,000 3 kg LPG cylinders.
"Market operations are an effort by Pertamina, together with the local Regional Government, to reach all communities and efforts to equalize LPG supply," he said, Friday, December 19.
With the Market Operation, Fahrougi explained, it is hoped that it can also slowly relieve the panic buying from the public and prevent speculators who take advantage of this momentum to seek more profit, hoarding LPG, and taking advantage of other bad opportunities.
Corporate Secretary of PT Pertamina (Persero), Arya Dwi Paramita, emphasized that Pertamina is present to ensure that people's basic needs, including energy, are still met in the midst of post-disaster emergency situations.
"We are making various efforts so that the public can access energy, including subsidized LPG at affordable prices and in accordance with regulations, while supporting the acceleration of the recovery of energy distribution in disaster-affected areas," he explained.
At the Market Operation, Pertamina provided 560 3 kg LPG cylinders at a price of Rp. 18,000 per cylinder, in accordance with the Highest Retail Price (HET) in the Aceh Tamiang region.
"We are committed to supporting post-disaster recovery in Aceh through various steps, one of which is the implementation of a 3 kg LPG market operation," Arya explained.
