Regent Terjaring OTT KPK, Pemkab Bekasi Pastikan Roda Pemerintahan Tak Lumpuh
BEKASI - After the hand-in-hand operation (OTT) carried out by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) against the Regent of Bekasi, Ade Kuswara Kunang, the Bekasi Regency Government ensured that public services and bureaucratic activities continued to run normally.
The activities of the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) in the Bekasi Regency administration did not show any significant disruption. A number of apparatuses continued to carry out routine tasks, including attending the National Day of Remembrance.
Normal Running Government
The Deputy Regent of Bekasi, Asep Surya Atmaja, emphasized that the legal incident that befell the regional leadership would not stop serving the community.
"What is certain is that today's activities in Bekasi Regency remain as usual, the government runs normally and smoothly," said Asep after leading the National Pledge in Cikarang, quoted from ANTARA, Friday, December 19, 2025.
Respect the Legal Process and Sealing the Office
Although he ensured that the conditions were conducive, Asep admitted that he had not received an official confirmation from the KPK regarding the details of the case. The information he received so far was only a report regarding the sealing of a number of office spaces by investigators from the anti-corruption agency.
"I can't say anything yet because the information is also new and still confusing. We respect the legal process that is underway," he added.
Information in the field said that the KPK investigation team had installed seal lines at several vital points since Thursday, December 18, 2025 evening, including the Bekasi Regent's working room, the Cipta Karya Office, the Binamarga Office and the Culture, Youth, and Sports Office (Disbudpora)
Last Communication with the Regent
Asep revealed that he last communicated with Regent Ade Kuswara two days ago. According to him, there was no crucial conversation or suspicious behavior in the communication.
"At that time, it was only a disposition of the agenda to Babelan because he was planning to go to Bandung. It was just a routine task and agenda," he said.
As previously reported, the KPK OTT in Bekasi Regency is rumored to have secured 10 people for further examination, including the Regent. Until this news was released, the KPK has not given official information regarding the legal status of the secured parties or the details of the construction of the case that ensnared officials in the Bekasi Regency environment.
