KPK Soal OTT di Kalsel: Jaksa yang Diamankan Kajari dan Kasintel HSU

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) secured two prosecutors during a hand-in-hand operation (OTT) in Hulu Sungai Utara (HSU), South Kalimantan on Thursday evening, December 18. One of them is Albertinus P. Napitulu who is the Head of the North Hulu Sungai District Attorney's Office (Kajari).

"Yes, among them Kajari was secured," said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo to reporters through his written statement, Friday, December 19.

Besides Kajari Hulu Sungai Utara, Asis Budianto, who is the Kasintel of the Hulu Sungai Utara District Court, was also secured in a silent operation. "And the private sector is suspected of being an intermediary," he said.

Budi said that the secured parties had arrived at the KPK Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta. They will undergo intensive questioning.

"The parties will then be intensively examined, where the initial allegation is extortion," he said.

The anti-corruption commission has 1x24 hours to determine the status of the parties who were secured through OTT. The legal status and the construction of the case will be conveyed through a press conference.

For information, the KPK has held three OTT since Wednesday evening, December 17. First, the activity was carried out in Tangerang, Banten and Jakarta.

From this operation, nine people were secured and one of them was a prosecutor. The examination is still being carried out at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta.

After the examination was carried out, the Attorney General's Office (Kejagung) took over the case because it had issued a preliminary investigation order (sprindik) on December 17 or coincided with the time when the silent operation was carried out.

Next, the KPK also held an OTT in Bekasi Regency, West Java. There were 10 people who had been secured.

Then, the anti-corruption commission informed of the OTT in Hulu Sungai Tengah, South Kalimantan. Six people were secured in the activity on Thursday night.
