JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has handed over prosecutors and parties involved in the hand-in-hand operation (OTT) to the Attorney General's Office (Kejagung).
The process occurred because the Adhiyaksa Corps had previously issued a preliminary investigation order (sprindik) in conjunction with the silent operation held on Wednesday, December 17 at night.
The OTT was held by the KPK in the Tangerang, Banten and Jakarta regions. From this activity, 9 people were secured, one of whom was a prosecutor and was related to extortion in handling cases in the Banten District Attorney's Office (Kejari).
"We have made a handover, a handover of people, and also the evidence that we have caught in the context of being caught in the act," said Acting Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the KPK Asep Guntur Rahayu at a press conference at the KPK Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Friday, December 19. early morning.
Asep said that after the OTT was carried out, the KPK had coordinated with the Attorney General's Office. "It turns out that there were indeed people who were suspects and the investigation order had been issued," he said.
"For the continuation of the delivery, of course, it will continue at the Attorney General's Office. This is certainly in the context of synergy in handling corruption cases between law enforcement officials in this case the KPK with the Attorney General's Office," continued Asep, who also serves as the Director of Investigation of the KPK.
Meanwhile, the Secretary of the Deputy Attorney General for Intelligence (Sesjamintel) Sarjono Turin explained that the sprindik against the prosecutor who was caught in OTT was issued on December 17. "The process is long," he said at the same press conference.
He also denied knowing that the KPK had carried out a silent operation. "But we have issued it earlier on December 17, 2025," said Sarjono.
Even so, Sarjono did not want to specify who the prosecutor was who was finally handed over to the Attorney General's Office. But, he ensured that this case would be followed up to the end.
"Tomorrow we will see the development at the Round Building. So tonight it is only that we ceremonially accept what has been conveyed to us," he explained.
"Based on the cooperation and synergy just now ... we accept and we thank our friends from the Corruption Eradication Commission for this cooperation and entrust us to follow up on it."
