One Frequency Since the Beginning, Ade Govinda and Aisha Retno Reveal Their First Impressions of Each Other

JAKARTA - Cross-border collaboration has once again colored the Indonesian music industry. Ade Govinda collaborates with a young singer from Malaysia, Aisha Retno, for their latest single titled "Semoga Saja".

Behind this cross-generational collaboration, there is an interesting story about their first meeting which immediately created a strong chemistry.

Ade said that Aisha's selection for this collaboration project was not without reason. For him, Aisha is not just a singer with a melodious voice, but a complete package musician who has the ability as a composer.

Ade admitted that he immediately felt a positive connection when he first discussed the work with the singer from the neighboring country.

"If it's from Aisha, we'll definitely have one frequency. About anything, it's easy to discuss, from content, lyrics, to the idea of making a song," said Ade, when he was met in Cilandak, South Jakarta recently.

"Even though we just met, but the frequency can be the same. Not many people can do that," he added.

In line with Ade, Aisha couldn't hide her admiration for the guitarist Govinda. As a musician who has not been in the industry for long, the 25-year-old soloist admitted that he had long admired Ade's works.

He assessed that Ade has his own style of writing lyrics that is very strong and able to touch the hearts of listeners.

Aisha's first impression was also very positive. He was impressed by Ade's work ethic which remained professional and humble in the midst of his busy schedule and his status as a senior musician.

"I'm very impressed until now. Nothing has changed in terms of work ethics, friendship ethics, everything is exciting. Even though Kak Ade is very busy, he still thinks about this song in great detail," said Aisha.

Meanwhile, the single "Semoga Saja" was born from a meeting in Malaysia. This song carries a ballad genre with a folk arrangement touch at the end. Meanwhile, the lyrics are the result of Aisha's heart pouring out who is experiencing a failed move on phase.

"This song is about the hope of someone who has broken up, but still prays for the best without revenge. In other words, this is a song about positive confusion," said Ade.
