Many Negative Comments, Agency Ready to Protect Baekhyun
JAKARTA - The INB100 agency released a statement containing a warning to the public who wrote negative comments to their artist, Baekhyun. They also admitted that several cases had been brought to the police.
Previously, they reported one netizen to the Gwangjin Police in April which ended with the netizen having to pay a fine. Then they reported one case to Gangnam in May and Seoul in September.
"Based on the data we collected ourselves, including fan reports, we have filed a report with the authorities. Several cases related to law including defamation under the communications and information law," INB100 said on Thursday, December 18.
"Several cases have received the verdict, while the rest are still in the legal process," he continued.
Furthermore, the agency stated that they would continue to monitor and receive reports from fans regarding the defamation their artists received.
"Our monitoring efforts will continue and reports from fans will continue to be monitored for use as legal evidence," the agency said.
"We are grateful to the fans who support and take care of our artists," the agency concluded.
Monitoring of negative comments is allegedly related to Baekhyun's absence in the latest EXO activities. INB100 agency had stated that Baehyun wanted to participate in the event.
