Bluesky Launches 'Find Friends' Feature, Find Friends with Contact Import

JAKARTA - Bluesky launched the Find Friends feature to make it easier to search for friends. This feature can recognize other Bluesky users from the user's contacts by importing them.

According to Bluesky, the contact import system is the most effective way to build a network of friends on social media. Therefore, the platform developed by the founder of Twitter launched the Find Friends feature.

Even though it imports users from contacts, Bluesky claims that the method they use is much safer than other platforms. The platform insists that they still prioritize user privacy.

Bluesky is developing technology that gives users full control over the contact data that can be uploaded. That way, users can avoid the risk of data leaks or attacks such as spam.

To use this feature, users must first verify their phone number. After uploading a contact list, the system will search for which numbers have already undergone a similar verification process on Bluesky.

If a match is found, Bluesky will send a notification to both parties. This notification can also appear later if there is a new friend who has just registered their number.

In the initial phase, this feature is only available for users in a number of countries. The list of countries includes the US, UK, Japan, and Brazil. European countries such as France, Germany, Italy, and Spain can also access this new feature.
