Police Say There Is No Motive for the Robbery of the Death of a 9-Year-Old Boy in the BBS 3 Cilegon Housing

CILEGON - The Public Relations Officer of the Cilegon Police, AKP Sigit Dermawan, revealed that his party had examined as many as eight witnesses in the case of the murder of a 9-year-old boy at BBS 3, Ciwaduk Village, Cilegon District, Tuesday, December 16, 2025. The results of the examination, the police stated that there was no robbery incident related to the victim's death.

"Today the investigators. have asked for information from eight witnesses, consisting of the victim's family, or to others who are around," he said when confirmed by the media, Thursday, December 18, 2025.

The examination included asking for information from the victim's father. He emphasized that investigators were still searching for Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) at the scene.

"We are still looking for CCTV, because the CCTV at the neighbor's house is not focused on the house, his own house," he said.

Meanwhile, regarding the news of the robbery in the incident, Sigit emphasized that no missing items were found.

"So far, no belongings of the victim or belongings of the victim's family have been found, which are missing," he said.

Sigit said that the investigation process was still conducting an in-depth investigation regarding the perpetrators of the murder. He hopes that this case can be revealed.

"We are still investigating it. Hopefully it will be revealed," he concluded.

It was reported that a 9-year-old child died from a stab wound to a sharp weapon at the BBS 3 Housing, Ciwaduk Village, Cilegon District, on Tuesday, December 16, 2025.

Cilegon City Police Chief Kompol Firman Hamid explained, based on initial information, officers checked to Bethsaida Hospital, Cilegon City, around 15.30 WIB after receiving a report of a stabbing victim who was declared dead by the hospital.

"The victim, initials E, is a 9-year-old boy," he said.
