Jakarta - The Minister of Law and Human Rights (Menkumham) has emphasized the important role of female prosecutors in dealing with digital crimes.
JAKARTA - The Minister of Communication and Information Technology, Meutya Hafid, stated that the role of female prosecutors is very important as the front line of law enforcement in the midst of increasingly complex digital crimes.
"The government will continue to support the development of the digital economy, including the development of digital literacy," said Meutya. "Pemerintah akan terus mendukung pengembangan ekonomi digital, termasuk pengembangan literasi digital, terutama di era di mana teknologi semakin canggih dan konten buatan AI sulit dibedakan dengan yang asli," kata Meutya.
"We are entering a deepfake era with artificial intelligence that makes things look like saruk, which should be black and white to gray and what exists can be eliminated by digital traces," said Meutya.
"With the mastery of digital issues, female prosecutors are expected to encourage more adaptive, victim-oriented law enforcement, and be in line with the direction of data-based justice," he said.
"Therefore, female prosecutors must be equipped with strong digital capacity to be able to maintain the integrity of evidence and protect victims, especially women and children," continued the Deputy General Secretary of the Golkar Party.
"Not only that, further, Meutya also emphasized the importance of synergy between the Ministry of Komdigi and the Prosecutor's Office in building a safe digital legal ecosystem.
"The synergy between Komdigi and the Prosecutor's Office is very important in accelerating the handling of cyber cases, providing a standard digital evidence chain, collaboration on data leakage issues, public education on digital ethics, and strengthening enforcement of the ITE Law and the PDP Law," he explained.
"The synergy also encourages female prosecutors who have a strategic role at the intersection between public protection, digital transformation, and fair law enforcement," he said.
"Empowering female prosecutors is a long-term investment for Indonesia. We are building a professional, humanistic, and adaptable future for law enforcement. "
