Rutan Officers Reveal the Chronology of the Discovery of Opium and Marijuana in Ammar Zoni's Room
JAKARTA - An officer from the Salemba Detention Center gave a detailed testimony regarding the chronology of the search that led to the discovery of evidence in the cell of Ammar Zoni.
A witness named Eka Karjareja, who was on duty at that time, explained that he received an order to search Ammar Zoni's room.
"At the third time, I received an order to search Muhammad Ammar Akbar in Block Queen or Q, Room 4," said Eka during a trial at the Central Jakarta District Court, Thursday, December 18.
The search was carried out after officers first inspected the cells of two other defendants, namely Andi Mualim and Mohamad Rifaldi. Ammar Zoni was the third target of the search.
When the officers arrived at Ammar's room, the cell condition was said to have entered the evening apple time. The witness admitted that he did not pay much attention to who was inside, but he focused on his main target.
He then explained that Ammar Zoni's room had a unique design.
"Because it is a system that is staged/tiered, one room but on a level," said Eka.
Officers immediately conducted a search in the area. As a result, they found evidence that was suspected to be methamphetamine and marijuana.
"In the search on the door, there were evidence that we suspected were methamphetamine and marijuana," he said.
After the evidence was found, Ammar Zoni was immediately secured. He was taken out of the cell along with the evidence that had just been found by the officers.
"When searched, we brought the suspect to the front with the evidence," continued Eka.
