Lintas Nagan Raya-Aceh Tengah Can Be Passed by Cars and Two Wheels
ACEH - The Nagan Raya Regency Government, Aceh Province, has ensured access to the provincial cross-road in the area of the natural disaster of flash floods in Beutong Ateuh Banggalang, which can now be crossed by cars after the government built an emergency bridge.
"Previously, this track could only be crossed by two-wheeled vehicles, now it can be crossed by four-wheeled vehicles," said Head of the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Nagan Raya Regency, Aceh, Irfanda Rinaldi to ANTARA, Thursday, December 18.
According to him, the construction of the emergency bridge that can be crossed by four-wheeled vehicles at the location of the natural disaster was carried out by the Aceh Provincial National Road Implementation Agency (BPJN).
Even though it can be crossed by two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles, said Irfanda, access to the provincial road is currently not optimal because it is still an emergency.
Irfanda said that for the time being, four-wheeled vehicles crossing the emergency bridge only reached Beutong Ateuh Banggalang, Naga Raya Regency and could not continue their journey to Central Aceh Regency.
Considering that there are currently two landslide points leading to Central Aceh from Nagan Raya Regency, so that access to Central Aceh can only be crossed by two-wheeled vehicles for the time being.
"We hope that in the next few days, access to Nagan Raya-Central Aceh can be crossed by four-wheeled vehicles, after these two landslide points are completed by BPJN," added Irfanda.
He said this emergency bridge was built by the government, as an effort to open the isolation of the community in Nagan Raya, Central Aceh and Bener Meriah which were isolated due to the natural disaster of flash floods.
In addition, the construction of the bridge access is also an effort to facilitate community and disaster victims' mobility, including facilitating transportation access and sending basic necessities to the community.
