One of the important achievements in Medina's career was at the 2012 World Junior Chess Championship Girls U-20 which took place in Greece. Although he was not favored in the top 10, Medina managed to finish in fourth place with 9.5 points from 13 games, and also recorded a significant increase in rating. In addition, he achieved the Women's Grandmaster norm in several international tournaments, including in Russia and Singapore.

At the 2012 Chess Olympiad in Istanbul, Medina appeared on board one and played a big role in bringing Indonesia to win Group C, a historic achievement for Indonesian chess.
