Ahead of its 35th Anniversary, Nissan Serena is Dressed up with Google Integration and Luxury Appearance
JAKARTA - Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. officially announced a minor change for their legendary MPV, the Nissan Serena, which is scheduled to be launched in the market starting mid-February.
Ahead of her 35th birthday in 2026, this sixth generation Serena still maintains the "BIG", "EASY", and "FUN" philosophies. This time's update is focused on strengthening the aesthetics of the exterior as well as embedding cutting-edge connectivity technology to meet the needs of dynamic modern families.
Launching the manufacturer's website, Thursday, December 18, it was stated that the most striking changes were seen in the highest variants, "LUXION" and "Highway Star V", which now feature a new front grill design and new aluminum rims.
Nissan also enriches consumer choices by presenting three new body colors, namely Moonbow Blue, Aqua Mint, and Deep Ocean Blue. Especially for the LUXION type, the interior now uses premium "TailorFit" material that provides a soft touch and extra comfort for all passengers during the journey.
The technology sector is the main attraction in this update through the integration of the latest NissanConnect system which is equipped with built-in Google services. Drivers can now access Google Maps, Google Assistant, and Google Play directly from the head unit without interruption. In addition, digital comfort features are improved through mobile notifications if the owner forgets to lock the door or close the window, as well as the Remote Photo Shot feature which allows monitoring the condition of the car from a distance.
The safety aspect also evolves with the increase in the Intelligent Around View Monitor feature. This system now supports a more intuitive 3D display as well as Front Wide View to monitor blind spots at intersections. Interestingly, there is a new Two Side Mirror Closed View feature that still displays the side view when the rearview mirror is folded, very helpful when parking in a narrow space. Not to forget, family safety features such as the Back Seat Reminder are present to prevent items or children on the back seat from being left behind.
For consumers who want more exclusivity, Nissan through the NMC division also introduced the "AUTECH LINE" series and a unique variant called "Multibox". This Multibox variant is designed specifically for lovers of outdoor activities with a two-row seat configuration (5 passengers) and a spacious trunk space equipped with a versatile storage box. This box not only serves as a container for tools, but can also be repurposed as a table or bench to work and eat in the car.
All of the latest Nissan Serena lineup is offered with a variety of drive options, ranging from conventional gasoline engines to efficient e-POWER hybrid technology, including the e-4ORCE all-wheel drive system option.
In Japan, Serena is priced from around 2.7 million yen (equivalent to Rp290 million) to 4.9 million yen (Rp505 million) for the highest variant.
