Stubborn, 11 Rizieq Shihab Sympathizers Secured Again, 1 Of Which Is A Former FPI Administrator
JAKARTA - The police have again secured 11 sympathizers of Rizieq Shihab who were about to come to the East Jakarta District Court. In fact, one of them is a former member of the FPI Banten board.
"There is a former FPI board member in Banten. So we are trying to introgate his motive," said East Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Erwin Kurniawan to reporters, Thursday, May 27.
Rizieq's sympathizers came from outside Jakarta. It is suspected that their purpose was to witness the trial process firsthand.
"Today there are 11 of the same people from Bogor. We are reminded because they are reminded to leave the location related to health protocols but still gather," he said.
However, continued Erwin, Rizieq's sympathizers did not use any attributes when they were secured. However, they will still be questioned to find out the real reason for coming to the East Jakarta District Court.
"So far, we don't (use attributes). But, of course, we will try to explore the masses and other things," he said.
Previously it was reported that the police had arrested 21 people who were suspected of being sympathizers of Rizieq Shihab. They have been kept in the vicinity of the East Jakarta District Court since Wednesday, May 26, evening.
Of the dozens of people, most of them are minors. Currently, they are still undergoing intensive examinations.
"The 21 people, 15 of whom are still under 17 years of age and 6 are adults, are still being investigated intensively at the East Jakarta Police," said Erwin.
In fact, based on a temporary examination, they were present at the East Jakarta District Court on an order from someone.
"On the instructions of someone to attend, the confession was for activities such as recitation or the like, but the location is in the East Jakarta District Court," he said.
