KPK Tangerang OTT secures 5 people, traps law enforcement officers

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) confirmed that there was a hand-in-hand operation in the Tangerang area, Banten on Wednesday night, December 17. A number of parties were also secured in the activity.

"Until last night, the team secured a total of five people in the Banten area," said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo to reporters, Thursday, December 18.

Budi did not specify who the five people were. But, information from VOI sources last night, there were law enforcement officers who were also secured.

The five people are still undergoing an examination at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta. According to legal regulations, the anti-corruption commission has 1x24 hours to determine the status of the party who was secured.

"We wait for the process together. Currently, intensive examinations are still being carried out for all parties," said Budi.

"Whoever is secured, related to what, we will convey at the next opportunity."
