Prabowo's Command Response, the Ministry of Health Adds Health Workers in North Aceh
ACEH UTARA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) has deployed health reserve personnel (TCK) to a number of flood-affected areas in Aceh Province to accelerate the recovery of public health. The Emergency Medical Team (EMT) is focused on helping health services for disaster victims.
In North Aceh Regency, the Ministry of Health has placed a reserve medical team at two health service points. The first point is at the TCK EMT 1 Aceh Utara Health Service Post located on the coast of Kuala Cangkoi Village, Lapang District. Meanwhile, the second point is at the Field Health Post.
"At both posts, medical personnel provide health services to disaster-affected residents," said a statement from the Ministry of Health, quoted by Wednesday, December 17.
Based on the photo and video documentation shared by the Ministry of Health, it can be seen that medical personnel provide assistance to residents who have been injured and conduct health checks, including blood pressure measurements.
The Ministry of Health noted that the highest health care needs in Aceh Province were in North Aceh Regency. As of Monday, December 15, the total medical personnel needs in Aceh reached 176 people. The needs consist of 13 medical personnel for regional general hospitals (RSUD) and 163 medical personnel for health centers and health posts.
In detail, the North Aceh Regional Government still needs 13 medical personnel at the Cut Meutia Hospital and 40 medical personnel at the Muchtar Hasbi Hospital. As of December 15, the Ministry of Health has assigned 11 medical personnel to the Cut Meutia Hospital and two medical personnel to the Muchtar Hasbi Hospital.
Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin said the government would send a total of 600 health workers to disaster-affected areas. The staff consists of general practitioners, specialist doctors, koas doctors, and nurses who will be stationed in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra.
"We will send the first batch of 600 people. A total of 450 people are ready to be sent this week. It is transported using Hercules from Halim," said Budi Gunadi when reporting the readiness to President RI Prabowo Subianto in the Plenary Cabinet Meeting at the State Palace, Jakarta, Monday.
The addition of health reserve personnel to the disaster site is a follow-up to President Prabowo Subianto's instructions. The order was conveyed in a coordination meeting at the Sultan Iskandar Muda Air Force Base, Aceh Besar Regency, on December 7, 2025.
