In Line with 2030 Strategy, DHL Express Expands Network in East Java
JAKARTA - As East Java's role as an international trading center continues to grow, DHL Express Indonesia (DHL) has inaugurated two Service Points in Surabaya and Malang, providing easier access to international shipping with guaranteed time for business actors, students, and local communities.
According to data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the value of exports of this province reached more than USD 16.9 billion in the first half of 2025, signaling a surge in demand for fast and reliable international logistics services.
This expansion follows the opening of the latest DHL Express Surabaya Gateway and Service Center, reaffirming the company's commitment to building a strong and competitive logistics ecosystem in East Java.
The Basuki Rahmat Service Point, located at the Japfa Indoland Building, Jalan Jenderal Basuki Rahmat, is in Surabaya's dynamic commercial and lifestyle area. Customers in the Darmo, Basra, and Tunjungan areas can now integrate DHL services into their daily activities more easily.
Meanwhile, the new Service Point on Jalan Jaksa Agung Suprapto, Klojen, Malang, is now closer to office areas, public facilities, and academic communities from leading universities.
The relocation, which is about 1.4 kilometers from the previous location, makes DHL services in Malang more practical and easily accessible by local customers and business actors.
"Global trade is no longer just a dream, it is part of everyday life," said Senior Technical Advisor DHL Express Indonesia, Ahmad Mohamad, Wednesday, December 17 in his statement.
With a more strategic location, his party is present to accelerate the movement of ideas, products, and global ambitions. He emphasized the great potential of East Java.
"Surabaya and Malang are not just cities; they are both centers of innovation. This Service Point is presented as a gateway for MSMEs, students, and entrepreneurs to connect directly with the world," he said.
The opening of these two Service Points reflects DHL Express Indonesia's commitment to strengthening national logistics connectivity through modern, efficient, and customer-oriented facilities.
This initiative is also in line with DHL Group Strategy 2030, which drives growth and opens up opportunities for businesses and communities to thrive in global markets.
Ahmad explained that the Basuki Rahmat Surabaya Service Point strengthened access to international shipping with a definite time in the city's main business area.
The presence of the Attorney General's Service Point Suprapto Malang also presents DHL Express services closer to business actors, students, and communities that need global connectivity.
"This expansion answers the increasing needs of MSMEs and international shipments in the East Java region," he concluded.
