BRI prepares Rp21 trillion for the needs of community transactions during the Christmas holiday period

JAKARTA - PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BRI) is preparing Rp21 trillion in cash to meet the needs of people's transactions during the 2025 Christmas and New Year 2026 (Nataru) period.

BRI Operations Director Hakim Putratama explained that the allocation was adjusted to the projected community needs and the increase in digital transactions.

For information, in the 2024 Nataru period, the realization of BRI's cash needs was recorded at Rp. 21.5 trillion.

"We see significant growth in the use of digital banking services, so that the need for cash is no longer as large as in previous years. However, we will continue to ensure adequate cash availability so that the public's transaction needs are still met during the Christmas and New Year period," he said, Wednesday, December 17.

The judge added that BRI also maximized the service system so that customers could transact comfortably and safely. All BRI banking service networks, including the BRImo Super App, are ensured to be ready to support customer transaction needs.

In addition, BRI also optimizes the E-Channel network as part of strengthening electronic transaction services.

As of September 2025, BRI has more than 687,000 e-channels which include ATMs, CRM, and merchant networks spread across various strategic locations.

To facilitate transactions, BRI also relies on the BRILink Agent network, which now numbers around 1.2 million agents throughout Indonesia.

This service allows customers to carry out various transactions in real-time and online, ranging from paying electricity, water, BPJS, telephone bills, installment payments, interbank transfers, deposits and withdrawals, top up e-wallets and BRIZZI, to purchasing travel tickets such as buses, shuttles, and ferry boats.

"Various service improvements continue to be carried out by BRI so that the community can access financial services easily, safely and without obstacles," said Hakim.
