Police Explain the Short Chronology of the Police Officer Who Abused the Eagle's Eye in Kalibata

JAKARTA - Head of Public Information Section of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Kombes Erdi Adrimulan Chaniago explained, based on the facts of the trial, the incident of beating two debt collectors or eagles in Kalibata, began when Bripda AMZ was dismissed by two debt collectors who held his motorcycle.

The information was then conveyed to Brigadier IAM through a WhatsApp group. Brigadier IAM then invited a number of other members to come to the scene.

"The six members who were tried, on Thursday, December 11, 2025, in front of TMP Kalibata, were proven to have participated in the beating of two debt collectors, resulting in the two victims suffering serious injuries and dying," said Erdi, after the implementation of the KKEP trial at the Propam Division Building of the National Police, National Police Headquarters, South Jakarta, Wednesday, December 17, 2025.

For their actions, Brigadier IAM and Bripda AMZ were given disciplinary sanctions and administrative sanctions in the form of PTDH as members of the National Police. Both of them stated that they appealed the decision.

Meanwhile, the other four members are considered to have a role in following the invitation of the senior and participating in the beating.

Regarding the four individuals, the KKEP imposed an ethical sanction in the form of an obligation to submit an apology in person before the KKEP session and in writing to the National Police institution, accompanied by an administrative sanction in the form of demotion for five years. The four also appealed.

Erdi emphasized that the decision was a form of the National Police's commitment to upholding discipline and the code of ethics within the institution.

"This shows that the National Police does not tolerate violations of laws and ethics. Every member of the National Police is obliged to carry out their duties in accordance with the rules and uphold the sense of justice for the community," he concluded.
