In Sujudku , Marcell Darwin Izin Istri Karena Jadi Tukang Selingkuh

YOGYAKARTA - When husband and wife are forced to LDM or long distance marriage. A phenomenon that is easy to find in the urban community. Many wives let go of their husbands to pursue careers in big cities like Jakarta. Meanwhile, the wife chooses to stay in the village or small towns.

LDM is a choice for various reasons. Starting with the economy because it is more economical if only one of the couples lives in a big city where the cost of living is obviously higher. On the other hand, the wife is already working in the city or village as a civil servant or a business owner. Other considerations such as the wife must take care of her parents.

The real story that can be found in everyday life became the inspiration for the film Dalam Sujud, directed by Rico Michael. The film production of Project69 mengangkat tema besar tentang cinta dan kesetiaan dalam rumah tangga. Film ini mengisahkan kehidupan rumah tangga yang tengah diuji sehingga sempat goyah dalam mempertahankan hubungan.

The young couple in the film Dalam Sujudku, played by Marcell Darwin (Farid) and Vinessa Inez (Aisyah), are forced to choose a long distance marriage. However, their household then experienced a real crack that originated from their decision to LDM.

Various daily conflicts that are dramatic are ready to decorate the film which is also starred by Naura Hakim, Riyuka Bunga, Dominique Sandra, Chika Waode, Momo Moriska, to Dennis Adhiswara.

At a press conference in Yogyakarta, Tuesday, December 16, 2025, Vinessa said the difficulties he faced when bringing Aisyah's character to life, which he said had a sincere heart.

"Aisyah is an extraordinary figure. A Muslim who is really pure heart, never negative thinking. She is a person with a sincere heart," said Vinessa.

"This is what makes me quite overwhelmed to bring Aisyah's character to life. How to display the character of a sincere Aisyah," he said.

Vinessa Inez said Aisyah was a reflection of a strong woman who is often considered weak - becoming one of the core stories of this film. "Learning from Aisyah, what is entrusted must be guarded until the end," said Vinessa, who originally thought she had got the role of Rina, the antagonist because she was the third person in Farid and Aisyah's household.

"When I received this script, I thought I would be Rina's character, because Aisyah is really heavy," he said.

Meanwhile, actor Marcell Darwin said that Farid's figure was a husband who aspired to improve family life in the village. But, in reality, he changed and became a husband who had an affair with a colleague. This character apparently brought its own fear for Marcell in real life.

"It started when Rico offered a film story about a family that then had an affair. When given the opportunity to read the script to recognize Farid's character. But it is true that the character is looking for a player. And I can delve into the character and the essence, this film tells the story of a second chance and Farid's journey of repentance," he said.

For Marcell, delving into the character of Farid was not easy. He certainly had to face the challenge of portraying Farid's emotions that went up and down throughout the film. Marcell even felt the need to ask his wife for permission when he received an offer to play a cheating husband.

"Frankly, I had to ask my wife for permission before accepting this offer. The reason is, I play the role of a husband who is having an affair," he said.

The film In Sujud takes three locations, namely Garut, Cimahi and Jakarta. The production is a collaboration between Indonesian, Malaysian and Singaporean producers.

Interestingly, although from the poster it looks like a religious drama story film, but the work of director Rico Michael is not intended to highlight the religious aspect. In Sujudkuberupaya, how to maintain a family that was originally harmonious in the face of life dynamics but then cracked because of poor communication.

Director Rico Michael said the film was inspired by the true story of his friend in Singapore who almost lost his marriage, but chose to survive and improve himself.

"I want to explore the meaning of sacrifice, love, and loyalty. This film wants to convey that when mistakes are really realized and corrected, not all stories have to end with a breakup," said Rico. This makes this film's work one of the best family dramas because this show can also be a guide.

The actors in Sujudku are challenged to present total devotion. Especially Dennis Adhiswara, who plays Abah or Ustadz Imam Yusuf, admits that he has a completely new role for him.

"This is the first time I've played the role of a ustadz. I learned from the sermon video, even to lock myself in for a day, to get the feel of the role," said Dennis, who totally immersed himself in the role as a spiritual figure.

In Sujudku, the soundtrack of the song "Titipan Illahi" was presented, which was created by Yusoff Al Aswad and Amin Majid. Young singer Evelyn Wijaya was chosen to sing the soundtrack for this film after winning the Dalam Sujudku Voice Hunt 2025, which was selected by singer Ifan Seventeen.
