Panahan Kawinkan Medali Emas Individual Recurve SEA Games 2025

JAKARTA - The archery branch (cabor) managed to win gold medals in the women's and men's individual recurve events at the 2025 SEA Games through athletes Diananda Choirunisa and Riau Ega Agata Salsabilla.

Diananda first managed to secure the gold medal in the women's individual recurve, which was Indonesia's 69th gold in the biennial multi-sport event.

Diananda won the final match with a score of 6-4 against Diep Trieu Huyen (Vietnam) to be entitled to the highest podium at Football Field 1, Sports Authority of Thailand, Bangkok, on Wednesday, December 17, 2025.

Thi Dao Loc, also from Vietnam, secured the bronze medal in this event. He won in the bronze medal match against Singaporean archer Yeo Tabitha Ern Lin.

Some time later, it was Riau Ega's turn to secure his gold medal, which was the 70th gold for the Indonesian Contingent in the White Elephant Country. Indonesia now needs 10 more gold to reach the target.

Riau Ega performed well when facing Quik Chern Xin from Malaysia who had to be content with bringing home the silver medal. Meanwhile, the bronze medal was secured by the archer from Vietnam, Nguyen Minh Duc.

This is the fourth gold medal from the archery branch in today's match. Previously, archery also managed to win gold medals from the men's and women's recurve doubles.

The first gold medal was presented by the women's recurve doubles team, which was strengthened by Diananda Choirunisa, Ayu Mareta Dyasari, and Rezza Octavia. Meanwhile, the men's recurve doubles consists of Ahmad Khoirul Baasith, Arif Dwi Pangestu, and Riau Ega Agata Salsabilla.

Apart from archery, Indonesia also added a gold medal from pencak silat through athlete Tito Hendra Septa Kurnia, who performed well to defeat Muhamad Helmin from Malaysia.

In today's match, Indonesia has received an additional eight gold medals and still has the opportunity to add to them. Overall, the Red-White Contingent has collected 70 gold and is in second place.
