BAZNAS RI, Akulaku Hand in Hand to Distribute Aid to Victims of the Sumatra Flood
JAKARTA - Akulaku expressed support for post-disaster recovery efforts after flash floods and landslides that hit a number of areas in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra.
The support was conveyed by PT Akulaku Finance Indonesia and PT Akulaku Silver Indonesia through the distribution of humanitarian assistance in synergy with the National Zakat Agency (BAZNAS).
The handover of assistance worth Rp. 200,000,000 was carried out at the BAZNAS RI office on Tuesday, December 16. The handover of assistance was attended by representatives of Akulaku management and the leadership of BAZNAS RI.
The funds will later be used to help meet the urgent needs of survivors in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra.
Through this activity, Akulaku again reaffirms its commitment in carrying out corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs, especially in providing a quick response to natural disasters and strengthening humanitarian support in various regions.
"This support is part of our ongoing commitment to be present when people need it," said Director of Compliance at PT Akulaku Finance Indonesia, Meyli Rita Rahmayati.
Meyli also highlighted the importance of recovery efforts to help disaster survivors.
"Our focus is to help meet the most urgent needs on the ground, from logistics, emergency supplies, to operational support such as public kitchens," he said.
"Our hope is that this assistance can relieve the burden of our brothers and sisters in Sumatra and provide real benefits for those who are facing difficult times," said Meyli.
As part of efforts to ensure that assistance is distributed properly, Akulaku also coordinates with BAZNAS RI to go directly to a number of posts in several affected areas, including in Gampong Manyang Cut, Pidie Jaya, Aceh.
Through this collaboration, Akulaku ensures that the support provided can reach the most needy people. Akulaku hopes that this contribution can relieve the burden of the community in the affected areas and strengthen the spirit of togetherness in helping survivors.
"The company also encourages various parties to continue to increase awareness and take concrete action in supporting the post-disaster recovery process," said Meyli.
Meanwhile, Director of BAZNAS RI Collection Faisal Qosim, expressed his appreciation for the contribution and trust given by Akulaku in the distribution of this assistance.
"Thank you Akulaku for your continued trust and collaboration. This support is very meaningful for people who are struggling to recover from the impact of disasters," he said.
