Roblox Reveals Trends in 2025, Reaches 45 Million Active Users
JAKARTA - Roblox revealed the trends in the use of its application over the past year through the 2025 Roblox Replay report. In the report, Roblox delved into the habits of its billions of users around the world.
An interesting finding revealed by Roblox is its users' habit of expressing themselves in the digital world. Based on the platform's internal data, there are more than 274 million avatar updates every day.
This shows how active users are in changing their virtual appearance. In fact, as many as 84 percent of respondents use virtual fashion on Roblox as a means of previewing before buying a product with a similar appearance.
This online style experiment is considered to have a positive psychological impact on users in real life. In addition, Roblox's findings show that social interaction is shifting through the use of emotes.
Keywords such as 'dance' or dancing have become top searches on the in-game Marketplace as interactions through jumping and dancing become popular. This is in line with the number of searches reaching more than 50 million times each day.
For the genre of games that users play, Roblox notes that users are very active in exploring major themes such as horror games, role-playing simulations, to nostalgic content. Roblox also sees games based on viral trends.
This can be seen from the launch of the KPop game Demon Hunters which triggered the highest search activity. Users can even find games from other entertainment such as Squad Game or Alice in Borderland.
The growth of this platform also beat the increase in total usage time reaching 88.7 billion hours in the first nine months of this year. The highest record was achieved in August with 45 million active users on the platform simultaneously.
In the future, Roblox plans to continue strengthening their creative ecosystem with the launch of new features next year. This investment will include updates to avatar movement features and makeup integration to expand the expression space for creators and users.
