Empty, Pramono is set to appoint a new Jakbar Mayor

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung will appoint one of the DKI Provincial Government officials as the Mayor of West Jakarta. Since December 1, the position of Mayor of Jakbar has been filled by the acting (Plt) because it is empty. The previous Mayor of Jakbar, Uus Kuswanto, was appointed as the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of DKI Jakarta.

The official who was inaugurated was Iin Mutmainnah. Since May 2025, Iin has served as Head of the DKI Jakarta Office for Empowerment, Child Protection, and Population Control (PPAPP).

Before being inaugurated, Iin underwent a fit and proper test with Commission A of the DKI Jakarta DPRD. Secretary of Commission A of the DKI DPRD, Mujiyono, admitted that the results of the fit and proper test had been submitted to the leadership of the DKI DPRD.

"Commission A is part of what is asked to do a technical fit and proper for Ms. Iin. The results were agreed yesterday, approved by the leadership. If we are only technical considerations," said Mujiyono when contacted, Wednesday, December 17.

Now, the recommendation of the results of the fit and proper test for the candidate for Mayor of Jakbar has been submitted by the DPRD to Pramono.

In the feasibility test process, Commission A asked a number of questions and suggestions to Iin regarding leadership and urban planning in West Jakarta.

"There are inputs to be implemented, whether some questions are related to what he said. There are nine points if I'm not mistaken yesterday. Starting from traffic congestion to the presentation," explained Mujiyono.
