BRI Finance Donates Waste Transport Equipment to LH Jaktim Sub-Director

JAKARTA - PT BRI Multifinance Indonesia (BRI Finance) collaborates with the East Jakarta Environmental Service Division (Sudin LH Jaktim) for waste management. This cooperation is a manifestation of the common vision of the two organizations in preserving the environment.

On this occasion, BRI Finance through the cluster of environmental social responsibility (TJSL) program distributed 2 electric motor carts, 5 garbage carts and 3 sets of sorting garbage cans. The assistance for waste management tools was received directly by the Head of the East Jakarta Environment Service, Eko Gumelar Susanto.

President Director of BRI Finance, Wahyudi Darmawan, said that this waste management tool assistance is part of the value that BRI finance adheres to, where in business the company always adheres to the triple bottom line: profit, people and planet.

Apart from that, this assistance is also a form of corporate responsibility commitment to all its stakeholders, ranging from shareholders, the community, workers, to the government or regulators.

"This is one of our social responsibilities to the planet and people, but more to the planet because by sharing CSR assistance in the form of garbage carts, garbage cans, hopefully it can help solve the waste problem," said Wahyudi in Jakarta, Wednesday, December 17.

This assistance is expected to help overcome environmental problems because waste is closely related to environmental problems. "If, for example, plastic waste can be said to be processed better, it can certainly save our environment," added Wahyudi.

Wahyudi admitted that BRI Finance always carries out the TJSL program every year, which focuses on social, environmental, educational, and other issues.

"Every year we have different themes. If this year happens to be the environment, last year we had emission tests, then now garbage carts. For next year, we will see what the relevant issues are," explained Wahyudi.

BRI Finance through the large-scale social collaboration program (KSBB) cluster of socialization in various RT and RW areas of Jakarta. Among others, distributing 1 electric motor cart to BPSRW Sidarling, Duren Sawit, Jaktim; distributing 1 electric cart to the Head of RW 5 Pegadungan, Jakbar; distributing 2 garbage carts to the Head of RW 17 Klender, Jaktim and distributing 3 garbage carts and 3 sets of sorting bins to the Head of RW 7 Johar Baru, Jakpus.
