Instagram Officially Comes to Fire TV, Can Watch Reels on TV Screen

JAKARTA - Meta together with Amazon officially launched the first Instagram for TV which is first available on Amazon Fire TV devices, which allows users to watch Reels from the television screen.

This launch marks Meta's first step in bringing a dedicated Instagram experience to larger screens, via the Instagram for TV app.

"Our mission is to give you access to the world's best content quickly, and we're excited to welcome Instagram to Fire TV," said Fire TV vice president Aidan Marcuss in an announcement.

Reels will be displayed in the form of a personalized channel based on user interests, ranging from music, sports, travel, to popular content and trends.

To start using Instagram on Fire TV, you need to install the Instagram for TV app on your Fire TV device and sign in with your Instagram account.

The app also supports up to five different accounts, allowing each family member to have content recommendations that match their preferences.

The app also includes a search function to help you find your favorite creators, explore profiles, and delve into topics you're interested in. You can also like Reels and browse comments and reactions.

Currently, the new Instagram for TV is available in the United States, and can be used on a number of Fire TV devices, including the Fire TV Stick HD, Fire TV Stick 4K Plus, first and second generation Fire TV Stick 4K Max, Fire TV Series 2 and 4, and Fire TV Omni QLED Series.
