JAKARTA - The Minister of Manpower, Yassierli, asked regional heads to announce the increase in the Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP) by no later than December 24, 2025.
"Especially for 2026, the Governor has set the amount of wage increases no later than December 24, 2025. We hope that the wage policy contained in the PP Pengupahan will be the best policy for all parties," said Yassierli, Wednesday, December 17.
He added that the Government Regulation (PP) regarding remuneration had actually been signed by President Prabowo Subianto since Tuesday, December 16, 2025 after receiving input and aspirations from various parties, especially from the Workers' Union/Labor Union.
The formula for wage increases approved by the president is equal to Inflation + (Economic Growth x Alfa) with a range of Alfa 0.5 - 0.9.

However, the calculation of the minimum wage increase will be carried out by the Regional Wage Council, to be submitted as a recommendation to the Governor.
This new policy also regulates the provision that the governor is required to determine the Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP) and can determine the District/City Minimum Wage (UMK).
